My executive writing experience covers both projects in which I work with (and assume the voice of) the leadership, but also instances in which the president, CEO, or board is the intended audience.

As the senior writer/editor at National PTA, I was the individual who wrote speeches for the executives, penned open letters under their signature, and even drafted responses for them to e-mail interview questions.  My duties there included internal communications for the leadership as well, often reviewing and synthesizing education or issue research into summaries or talking points for them, and also editing and creating reports and presentations for them to give to the board.

At the National MS Society, I wrote columns and letters under the president’s name, and worked with the VP of Communications on scripts for events.
